So, we're in Guadalajara with no real plans and still in a covid funk. I decide to grab my trusty android [yup I sId android] and find us a lil sumpin. I wound up picking "Cafe Andre Breton" I invited my cousin Dino, surprised as always, when I show him places in his beautiful city. Much to my surprise a jazz trio was playing snap, snap, cool, cool. Lol. Best of luck Andre, keep up the great work. We'll be back. So, what got us here were the great food reviews. The service was on point too.

Awesome find in the heart of GDL. Was there on business and as usual, I hang out with my longtime cigar buddy Roberto, who suggested we meet here, just a short walk from my hotel. He told me cigar smoking was allowed, and YES, it was, albeit on the 2nd floor balcony. Cool! The wine is not the best in the world, Reservado, from Concha y Toro, which is their low end offering, but the ambiance and food made up for it. Great blues band playing on a Tuesday, only instrumental, as there was no one singing, but, who cares? All in all it was awesome!

Chill bar pub scene. Musical groups play regularly. Theres usually a cover when a group is playing, but I'm completely fine with that as long as it goes towards helping out the musicians. However it's good to be aware for those on a budget. Red Wine -- _Chile concha y toro merlot : nice _Espana (de la casa) tempranillo: too harsh for my liking I like how the serve it slightly chilled. 1 point Frappe de guayabe smoothie - best Food _le grand alioli (botana) : great and yes it pairs well with red wine. _le Americana baguette: good/great , _deluxe baguette : better The baguettes and bread in general are well made. Perfect crunchy and hard shelled yet not stale. 1 point Dancing , _the night we went there was a salsa band. But no space to dance because the tables were in the center of the floor. -1 point.

Jazz!!!! Dance!!!! Eat!!!! Where do I start. Oh, at the beginning. Cafe' Andre Breton is a jewel in the night. The night moves here. You will experience a sort of international clientele just totally having fun. Here in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico - where tequila was born, raised, educated, nurtured, shared, discovered, marveled at, intoxicated with. It's phenomenal. So are you. So go! Enjoy, and why would you ever hold back.

An unbelievable diamond in the rough. On the outside it doesn't look like much. On the inside there's a great stage and amazing food. I had a great pizza and ice cream for dessert.

I love this place! Our AirBnB host (David at Las Sabilas - also worthy of my highest recommendation!) Told us about this place. Live music Tuesday-Saturday. Great menu/food. But the highlight is the warmth of the people! Everyone who works here is friendly, helpful, and welcoming! We were treated as regulars on our second visit. They even loaned us an umbrella when we left in the rain. So amazing! The genre of music varies and the musicians have all been talented. Tuesday is blues night. Right now I'm enjoying a great group of klezmer musicians, with accordian, clarinet, cello, and drums. So tasty! Cool art, amazing people, magical! Come to Guadalajara, stay at Las Sabilas, and spend your late nights at the Breton!

The warmest, most welcoming bastion of diversity and talent I have ever had the pleasure of setting foot in! I was told about this place in a coffee shop and ended up here on a Tuesday night, rolling solo. The blues was off the hook from the get go, then during the last hour or so the community of musicians in the audience (many) started getting up on stage to demonstrate their incredible prowess. The place was absolutely jamming and the characters inside were fascinating. Merci.

My girlfriend and I visited Guadalajara just a couple days ago coming from Oceanside, California. This place is amazing. The vibe, the food, live music and just the all around atmosphere is definitely the reason we are going back to Guadalajara. Thank you for an amazing dinner and experience.
